Supporting the Work of Trinity United
For many people, autumn means harvesting gardens, and a return to normal after enjoying the summer. As you transition into the rhythms of September, we encourage you to return to fall worship and fellowship, and to continue your financial support of Trinity United. Your donations and givings, no matter the size, are vital to enable us to carry out our work and ministry.

Please contact the office if you would like an updated Financial Report.

Donations can be made in a number of ways.
E-transfers can be sent to [email protected]
Cheques or cash can be given on Sundays or mailed to the office.
You can also donate through our web page here.
Donations through Pre-Authorized Remittance (or PAR) have regular monthly amounts given to Trinity through automatic bank withdrawal. You can contact the office if you would like to get started, or read more here for more information and the forms to fill out. Besides being convenient, using PAR for your offering ensures regular monthly givings to help our church’s ministry even when you are away. You will be providing our congregation a
dependable flow of contributions, which increases our overall financial stability.

Welcome Back Sunday Luncheon
The Trinity Fellowship Group is hosting a lunch after
worship on Sunday, September 17 to celebrate “coming
back” after vacation time. We will be serving food and
friendship over sandwiches and dessert. Come and enjoy!
Bring friends and family! There will be a sign-up sheet
on the bulletin board in the narthex to help us know how
uch food to prepare. If you aren’t able to sign up this
Sunday, we ask that you send an email or call the office
efore 2 pm on the Friday.

Singing is Good For You!
And singing with others may even be better. Who knew? Beth MacIntosh, our musical animator, of course!
There are many benefits to singing together including reduced stress hormones, an increased ability
to fight illness, lessened anxiety, stimulated memory and an increased lung capacity.
If you are now inspired to sing together, the choir joyfully welcomes new members.
The first rehearsal will be Wednesday, Sept. 27
Making a Difference
An opportunity to take another step on the path of reconciliation: A request has come from Charlene Burns,
General Council Community Capacity Development Coordinator for the West, related to the Central Alberta
Spiritual Circle/Center and Interconnect Foundation (the new Indigenous community of faith being established in the
former Beverly United Church in Edmonton). Charlene wrote: "I am asking for contributions from friends far and
wide to purchase 100 orange shirts to use as a fundraiser for Interconnect and the Central Alberta Spiritual Circle.
They will have the logo for the Center on them and be sold for $30 each. We would like to order the t-shirts to have on
hand by the next Central Alberta Spiritual teaching Circle on Sept. 16th and for the National Day for Truth and
Reconciliation on Sept. 30th. *Financial contributions can be made by cash or cheque to Interconnect,
Red Deer Office, 4825-47 street #300, Red Deer T4N 1R3 or to Interconnect at 11910- 40 street NW

Soul Food
True religion is, at its core, nothing more or less than a call to live fully, to love
wastefully and to be all that we can be. That is finally where life’s meaning is
found. All else is background music.” ~Bishop John Shelby Spong
